Pros

Depending on what store you are in and store manager, it can be great.

Cons

-Cold Stores -Low Pay, unless you are in management -Possible 3 hour shifts (waste of time to go into work) -On Call(when you are off but you are "On Call", if the store needs you to come in that day, you have to or a write up)

Pros

Opportunties to move up in management. Full time Benefits, paid personal and vacation time, 401k. Good deals on items.

Cons

They screen horribly who they employ , their method is hire for numbers. Therefore ; you have Lazy , negative , inefficient employees that could care less. Terrible pay , understaffed , over worked. When there does come along rare good workers,or phenomenal ones ; they take advantage of them. It's never enough or good enough its always more, more, everyday without proper compensation to make it worth anyone's while. Harris Teeter doesn't care about it's workers only money and looking good. Corporate is always shifting blame on its workers and in store managers. Their business sense is lacking, they give customers free items regularly. This contributes to profit loss, as well as all the food on a daily basis that gets disposed of. Their asset loss isn't effective either. The people from the warehouse stack pallets unsafely so they easily fall, because u have heavy stuff on top of light, or it's too high up. Numerous products come in damaged on a regular basis. They have a computer generated system called CAO for ordering that is flawed. You have items ordered you don't need because of this. Daytime managers stand around talking a lot, but are quick to delegate and aggravate everyone else on what they aren't doing. Theres alot of gossip and hostility. What is most inferoriating ; is the constant lying and fakeness of upper management , that creeps in stores.

Pros

You get paid. Good job to make you get out of your shell if you are shy even though most customers are rude.

Cons

Short breaks. Pay sucks for the work you put in. Management is all over the place and most of those managers are the least working out of the entire store. They can give you the worst hours possible if they don't like you.
