Pros

10%discount on ht items. A few random free items a month. Itll keep you afloat for now. Can be flexible

Cons

Bad pay but average for a smaller store. Just embarrassing to work at a grocery store but not be a manager .Horrible rude customers who are needy 'in a hurry all the time' and will glare at you while your helping the person in front of them an act like your taking to long...ogg gawd they can be soo nasty and try to scam you and demand free stuff!!

Worst job I've ever had

Pros

They make amazing pizza. If you'd stay like an hour late they would give you a free lunch. It's a great high school job (which is what I had it for) but if you're older than 19 and/or you have bills to pay then do not work there. some of the customers I made a great connection with and really enjoyed my fellow cashiers. Other than that that's the only good thing about working for Harris teeter

Cons

I was treated like crap by all but 2 managers. I was trained into a management position but because our HR guy didn't like me they stopped my training and demoted me back to a cashier. I just went through a pregnancy while working with them and I'm telling you, any expecting mother DO NOT go work for them. I had to give them 3 doctors notes just for me to have a chair at my section because my manager would just throw it away. Then my medical leave was constantly being denied because I "didn't provide proof of a child" after I gave them a letter before I went in the hospital and right after I had my kid (which was a 3 day period). Then I get a release form to return back to work and they take weeks and never put me back on the schedule. So I've finally had enough and tell them I quit only to be told I have already been terminated. I received a letter in the mail stating I was finally approved for medical leave but "for my own medical condition" not for giving birth to a child which therefore didn't protect my job under FMLA. So I put 2 years of my life into that company for only $8 an hour so they can do me like this when I had a kid.
