Pros

Helps to really understand how the whole process from when the product comes in the door all the way to how it makes its way to the shelf and the register knows who to ring it in and what price. It keeps you constantly busy with multiple tasks involving operational things such as pricing issues, ad corrections and changes, and being in charge of the weekly tag/ad change. Unlike being a cashier you have the ability to move around the store and be in charge of your own time management.

Cons

There is always work to do, more than sometimes can ever possibly be finished by the 2 people (that is how many handle it) and so it's always very busy work. I personally don't find this a con because I love working for long hours and being pushed to the max even if it is tedious little things (I like those to). Some people find it stressful and overwhelming because of the amount of work that will sometimes come through.

Pros

Higher end grocery store, easy to take time off, weekly paychecks, yearly bonus check. I enjoyed working here as a teenager.

Cons

Working here can be stressful with standing all day, rude customers, as well as complicated coupon rules. It bothered me that there was no belt for customers to lay their groceries, rather the cashier takes everything out of the cart and slows the process down.

Pros

It's twice a year bonus check are a perk and the ten percent discount on their brand is nice. Sometimes management is flexible with hours.

Cons

Once Kroger bought this company our staff levels went down. Resulting in the few doing the job of many. Customers get angry over the lack of people to help them. Benefits package is outrageously expensive. Management team is unprofessional, often critiquing associates for actions and infractions that they themselves do. Management team won't hold themselves accountable for letting a molehill turn into a mountain. Instead they pass the blame to their leads or associates. Then when the situation has turned into a catastrophe they place disciplinary actions on the associates for the problematic issues management knew about , and were told many many times about. Company hates to pay for new equipment. They just repair the same thing over and over ; rather than invest in a newer, eco friendly, and fully functioning model. They won't let you transfer to another department unless you basically beg for years. Crying all the while. If you get placed as a Deli worker you are never transferring out of that department. Forget about transferring to another store even if you move and the store you work is too far a drive. They would rather you quit then transfer you. Oh, and they tell you they want to help you succeed and train you for promotion. Then they go out of their way to avoid training you or just outright sabotage you. They always hire an outside manager who has no real experience in the department first so they don't lose a you "good" worker.
