Pros

Good pay & good bonus for dept & salary mgmt

Cons

Store mgmt are not held to a standard as co mgmrs and & other employees. The culture MUST change. Store mgmrs take advantage of co mgmrs & schedule them ridculious shifts. Sit in the office and dictate delegation excessively. Store mgmrs need to walk around more in the store & show concern to associates & customers.

Pros

If you enjoy working Harris Teeter is the place for you. My work shifts always go by quickly and I am never bored because there is always something to do. The bonuses are great and the benefits are excellent in my opinion. Customers are appreciative of your hard work and tell you often. Most every associate is friendly and the store itself is beautiful.

Cons

I will not put hard work as a con because I enjoy it but some may see it as one. Yes there is never enough people to get everything done easily but it's work so I don't expect it to be easy. They ask managers to drive to stores within a 50 mile radius, but if you don't want to do that then don't be a manager.

Pros

The managers I had were not very strict on most things. They did award you for good customer service surveys done on you. They were very flexible with the schedule.

Cons

First of all, I wasn't properly let off. I got a new job and kept working at Harris teeter a couple times a week. I noticed they stopped adding me to the schedule and when I called they told me that I didn't work there anymore. If you are sick and call out of work they make you feel bad about it and basically tell you "you either have to find someone or come in." Why would you want sick employees touching customers groceries? In certain departments, the employees do not even get a break in a 12 hour shift. That is ridiculous. Cashiers get a 15 minute break but then they leave some employees 12 hours without even 15 minutes to rest. That's illegal and very messed up. I also worked here for over two years and did not receive one raise and instead of being promoted for my hard work, family members of other employees got promoted.
