Pros

Work Life balance. A friendly and diverse academic environment. Connection with a prestigious university. There is an overall feeling that your contribution is important, and has a positive impact on the world. Talented and genuine workforce.

Cons

Difficult to compete with High Tech companies for engineering talent. They pay better salaries, and have RSU's, but it's not an apples to apples comparison given the work life balance and other benefits.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. As our culture is a differentiator, we are happy to hear that you are experiencing it to the fullest which includes work life balance, mission driven organization, and amazing people. While we cannot offer the same pay as high tech companies, our total package, which includes base salary, bonus programs, and comprehensive benefits, is competitive considering our not-for-profit status. We agree with you that it isn't an apples to apples comparison given the culture, band, and opportunities, on top of the compensation and benefits. If you have any other feedback you would like to share, send an email to feedback@harvardbusiness.org.

Pros

The security, the talent pool, the focus on the client experience, always striving for improvement

Cons

Out of touch very high-earning leadership structure, countless sudden/shoe-horned promotions of favorites to leadership that arent widely advertised, inconsistent principles and best practices for department structure, no accountability to ensure practices/processes are universally used (and liked by those who use), too slow to respond to obvious systemic issues like resourcing and profitability issues; generally feeling of hardworking plugged-in minions and out of touch, waiting to retire wealthy and not-rock-the-boat leadership

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are saddened by the fact that you did not have a positive employee experience. We have been working to make faster changes to pockets within the organization where practices and processes need to be improved and used consistently so that all employees feel valued and heard. If you have additional feedback that you'd like to share, feel free to email feedback@harvardbusiness.org.
