Pros

The products that were being marketed were fascinating - case studies, books, articles, and online simulations about how to build and sustain successful businesses.

Cons

Too much internal competition Lack of communication with cross-functional teams - talking "at" people instead of collaborating Lack of support from upper management Policies and procedures for departments were lacking Not enough time taken to evaluate progress of specific projects upon completion Lack of careful planning - a "fly by the seat of your pants" approach doesn't work IT Department didn't have the knowledge/skillset to solve important CMS issues Poor decision making with a lasting, negative impact on productivity and the bottom line

Pros

- The firm is the marriage of academia with business education facilitated by a publishing company, so if you are interested in either academia or business you will find your product engaging - Relaxed work environment drives fantastic results - Growing despite the economic downturn and destruction of most publishing co.'s via internet - Dynamic mix of employees - Cool building - Free Starbucks

Cons

- If you find academia or business education boring your work might be too - Not as fast-paced as some would prefer - Publishing industry has an uncertain future if it fails to adapt...not saying HBSP will fail to do so, but just worth considering
