Pros

Good for young engineers straight out of school to learn and grow under experienced mentors. Competitive salaries and increases for new grads.

Cons

More self-directed career pathway. If you want to grow and learn, experience and take on new projects, you have to be proactive and speak up

A diverse and friendly company

Pros

Hatch's environmental division in eastern Canada is steadily growing. Colleagues come from diverse fields and are often a pleasure to work with. Salary is higher than average for the same position and years of experience. Despite the required 5 days RTO, it is not strictly enforced and they show flexibility if you have a justified reason.

Cons

Corporate culture is a little bit tacky and old school. The feedback or professional development system is still at its early stage, so growing your career lacks transparency.
