The once flat company structure is no longer there in a lot of offices because management decision making power is now centralised in one office per region. As a result I only got the chance to meet my direct manager once over the last 2 years. Because of this there is a general feeling that the main offices get preferential treatment over other offices.
Hatch tends to practice a lot of hiring and firing and being a staff member rather than a contractor is no guarantee of job security. If you are not billable, you run a big risk of being retrenched. You may get offered options to remain billable, but they tend to involve fairly terrible FIFO rotations (how does 5 weeks on, 1 week off sound?).
