Beautiful work environment. Coworkers are fun to work with and easy to get along. Everyone work together as a teamplayer and make sure the customers receive the best customer service experience. Love the fact we sell some of the finest furniture among competitors and customers know us for our quality products and great customer service. Slow pace, relaxing atmosphere, feels like im shopping while working.

Cons

Office associates should be re-evaluated for higher salary for the job we do. Our job consist of many skills that require a college education such as: strong Math skills, accounting, financing, advance computer skills, syore closing, and other skills such as typing, 10-key adding machine, calculator, etc. No advancement opportunities!

40hrs. per week, If you selling you will be OK. Nice coworkers, nice Managment

Cons

Long hours, low pay 12dol. per hr. for Sales Associates, A lot computer work on a side of selling. No advertisement so stores are slow and Sales Associate cant make they money, They will grab you to work for them, they will tell you how good is work for them and how much you will make, just when you will not sale they will do ALL so you quit, they don't want to fire you just you will not make money so you will leave for better job. They pay on delivery not on sale. A lot of sales a canceled or delivery people will damage furniture and customer will cancel all. They save on every thing so...no advertisement like Rooms to go or City Furniture so means that you will be very slow and prepare you will make only 12 dol. per hr. Benefits are very expensive

Pros

Havertys offers quality products you can take pride in representing. They provide ongoing product and sales training, good benefits and good income potential. There are many employees who have worked for decades at Havertys which speaks volumes. I enjoyed my work with them.

Cons

Straight commission was tough when the economy was down. Some locations offer a base salary, which seems fair because the average sales cycle can be 1 year on average for residential furniture buyers.
