Pros

Easy entry level job for students enrolled in college. They start you off with easy work orders until you show that your mechanically inclined to read blueprints and schematics.

Cons

the work is boring you do the same thing over and over and over again each day. The supervisors suck completely , they play favoritism with employees and you get no recognization or compensation for your hard work. Also supervisors slack off during work hours until the big boss man is coming in. do not work at Havis

Pros

A lot of the employees are awesome and friendly Lots of overtime is availible

Cons

Where to begin: A coworker was showing me a specific way he builds the units we worked on and used a hand motion showing me which way he puts the bolts in. The warehouse supervisor then walked up and said "Hey, less *waves hand mocking coworker* and more building the units, ok?" In a smug tone That is the type of environment you are working in with Havis. They assume you are a bad worker from day one and the employees learn to avoid managers or lookout for them, it is sad. Lot of temp workers that do not care about anything. I walked outside for 20 seconds to hand my wife money because she had to stop by for whatever reason and was threatened that walking outside is a terminateable offense. I laughed it off and quickly found a new job. This place is run like a prison and only seems to keep people that are ok with being treated like that or have no other options. I understand that it is assembly work so you do not need to be very educated but there is a term that 2 different coworkers told me at Havis: "Easy hire, Easy fire." - They really did seem to hire anyone and everyone. The risk of potential injury from coworkers is real, I watched a guy get a screw stuck in a metal bracket, he used a power drill set too high to try removing it, it flung the bracket across the room and could've damaged someone's eyes. I seriously do not recommend this workplace and it's sad because it could have been a great experience. After I was told I could be fired for walking outside for a few seconds I found a new job within the month and never looked back.
