Pros

The Haworth facility is absolutely beautiful and its contents are a testiment to the products and services available to customers. The benefits package is on par with other organizations.

Cons

Leadership philosophies and practices are sometimes inconsistent/contradictory, which can get you into trouble if you're not careful. Although benefits are comparable with other organizations, compensation is not.

Pros

Haworth is a global organization with strong values - much like a family. There is always an opportunity to grow and succeed and we are evolving. I feel like I am part of something special. The people are friendly and access to senior leadership is much less formal that other organizations I have worked for. People here have a strogn work ethic and want to participate in the company's success. I recommend this company to anyone who wants to contribute.

Cons

The cons are not dissimilar to any other organization. There is work to be done and we run lean.

Morale at an all-time low in IT

Pros

Decent pay for the area, quality people to work with for the most part, nice location, good tradition, an opportunity to be immersed in decent technology, beautiful updated building at HQ to work in.

Cons

Inability to learn from past mistakes. Example: Oracle project --> SAP project. Management will flat out lie to you to get what they need out of you. 40% to 50% of the current IT staff would walk out today if they could acquire a comparable job elsewhere based on comments made to me...only the crash of the economy has prevented some of that happening. Information is power at Haworth and many, including many managers, refuse to pass it on. Needlessly complicated processes and far too numerous meetings make getting things done difficult. Watch your back.
