Not The Best Leadership...... Well No Real Leadership

Pros

The majority of the staff, both lawyers and non-lawyers, are relatively easy to work with.

Cons

They do not recognize good staff. They tend to listen to and promote the less intelligent. This is especially in the accounting area. They recently got an excellent professional resource in accounting. This is new. She is the best I have seen since I have been here. Many others agree. The whole environment had a positive change. I hear she is leaving. This is not good.

The attorneys and staff are nice to work with.

Cons

Huge discrepancy of what attorneys are allowed to do vs staff. Attorneys can come to work and leave at any time but staff has to have defined hours. Have to accrue benefits before using them or will not be paid for time off. No assistance with cost of parking. Do not get 3 weeks off until you've worked at HB for 6 years.

Great company to work for, attorneys are generally nice, pay is pretty decent, and you are basically supervising yourself as long as your job performance is steadily good.

Cons

Management (HR) - they do not know what is going on honestly. Very hesitant about solving issues but will reprimand the "little people" so that the machine can continue.
