Pros

the kids are very cute and awesome to work with; the different kinds of rooms are nice to change the environment for the kids

Cons

superficially friendly but when it comes down to it, you're replaceable and they'll let you know that you are no breaks whatsoever, you actually have to put in your freetime, unpaid, to prepare and clean up before and after sessions a couple really terrible therapists who have nothing to do but gossip, feel like they're entitled and act like the queens of the world - i.e. they won't talk to you if you're new, you constantly feel like you're a burden and not worthy - makes it really stressful to work with those people if you're not a gossip-loving girlie; they have a 6 MONTH non-compete clause in their contract with you, which is unheard of at other ABA companies in the area (rightfully so)

Pros

Kids are amazing. Some of the best BCBAs around. More Male Therapist than usual. Pay is good, Insurance is decent. Not overpriced Paid days off/Holidays

Cons

Terrible communication with staff. Ran as a dictatorship. No breaks, short lunch. Sometimes they hit people who just don't get it. Put BC students above all others. Promotions are not based on merit but favoritism. Terrible attendance policy. Punch in system isn't the greatest. Often work pass allotted time w/o the pay.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience of working at Healing Haven. We are glad to know you enjoyed many aspects of your time here including the kids, team members, the benefits and pay. In regard to your concerns, we take them seriously and will look into ways we can continue to improve employee communication and how we can accommodate staff breaks without sacrificing the safety of the children we are caring for. We have experienced some growing pains with implementing a new clock-in system to simplify and automate the process. There were some technical glitches that we worked through as they arose and made accommodations where needed, as well as a generous amount of time for team members to get accustomed to using the new system. Additionally, when more time is needed to complete work, if gone through the proper channels for approval, the extra time with pay is granted. Our priority continues to be to provide the best possible care for the children and families who come to us for help.

Pros

Clients are amazing and has alright compensation for entry level work

Cons

little regard for employees. no incentives. little chance of moving up or getting raises of any substance. Non-compete clause that you can't work in an ABA job within 50 miles of the clinic for a year, and the owner will sue you if she finds out that you are.

We’d like to take a moment to respond to your comments. Thank you for recognizing our higher starting pay for our entry level ABA Therapist position. Additionally, employees are eligible for merit increases annually and will earn an additional day of PTO each year. We also offer a practicum experience for those interested in growing in the field of ABA Therapy. And whenever possible, we try to promote from within. We have employees who have moved up within ABA roles, as well as some who have moved to new departments after starting out as an ABA Therapist. And in regard to your comment about non-competes for ABA therapists, your statement is inaccurate. Please know you are welcome to ask questions and get clarification from our HR Department any time.
