Pros

Amazing work/life balance that starts on day one. Full transparency between senior leadership and the staff. Very much a company that wants to hire the best and brightest and will pay above market value for the right people. Amazing additional benefits beyond the normal medical, dental and vision. A company that you can be proud to be a part of.

Cons

As a newer hire, the on boarding process was spread out over four days. This made for lots of downtime to start. Would have preferred it be two longer sessions, but overall nothing really bad to say about this company.

So much of what you share is resonant and I hope, like you, that we can realize the broadened vision you describe, and believe we can. One thing we've talked about recently as a leadership team is how we as human beings sometimes overestimate what can be accomplished in a year, but underestimate what can be accomplished in a decade. In a few days I'll celebrate my one-decade anniversary with Health Catalyst and it is remarkable to consider how far we've come in that decade, and I do feel excitement and optimism about what we can achieve in the next decade as well. Weathering a chaotic 2020

Pros

Health Catalyst continues to do very well with compensation and benefits. To keep the company going during the COVID-19 downturn, there was a temporary cut to the 401k match and delays in raises, but that was all. They are already working on brining these back before the end of 2020. I appreciate the executive team being forthcoming about all the issues this pandemic has caused for the company and our clients. We truly have a world-class staff that does their best to ensure client success. and remain fully engaged in the company mission. Also, the company continues to expand its product offerings by polishing existing products and through corporate acquisitions.

Cons

Perhaps too many corporate acquisitions too quickly. We have a hard time incorporating these companies into the Health Catalyst product lines. We had one acquisition a couple years ago that I feel is still lost in the process of being added it, and now in 2020 we have three more. These are ending up as add-ons instead of fully engaged products. Also, and I think this comes up a lot, there is still a disconnect between the product development group and those positions out on the front lines with the customers. I have been involved in more of the product development cycle this year, and it seems like development is not considering actual usage, but is just building things because they can. Need to focus more on what is missing in our current products and incorporating the technologies from acquisitions instead of just building something new and shiny.
