      Pros

      I began working for Health Catalyst 10 months ago,they have great benefits and team member support. Always focused on what they can do better for their clients and their team members.

      Cons

      As a new non-IT employee, it would be helpful to have a individualized orientation that is geared to employees that are data abstractors instead of IT people. The learning curve is very steep.

      Not perfect but still the best place I've worked

      Pros

      - Pay and benefits are great - Covid-19 response was caring, responsible, appropriate - Executive leadership seems responsive to employee concerns and is honest in answering them - Internal growth opportunities are readily available and moving teams is not arduous

      Cons

      - Employees are entitled (get over the 401K match) and some do the minimum to get by - Middle management is slow to respond and out of touch with the everyday struggles - Working with other teams can be impossible. The clients teams (TDs especially) won't even respond to you unless it benefits them - The annual reviews process is not clear or consistent across teams. This is especially an issue with the hiring/promotion freeze in place because it creates anxiety not knowing what the future looks like.

I appreciate also the feedback regarding the importance of career and performance feedback from your direct supervisor, as well as transparency around what is coming in 2021.       Great Place to Work

      Pros

      We have trustworthy leadership who sincerely look out for our best interest as employees; we are put first and it is felt. I also appreciate the job security they provided during the economic uncertainties related to covid, even if it meant pulling back on some (not all) of our benefits to avoid any layoffs. They can't make everyone happy all of the time, but they do their best and it's apparent.

      Cons

      This is especially felt during covid, but I do miss not being able to go to the office once or twice a week for social interaction (and to get out of the house). Along those same lines, this is one of the downsides of working for a company with so many remote employees; I'm one of the few on my team that is local, but in a selfish way I wish all my team was local so we could do more face to face. On the flipside, however, I do appreciate working for a company that gives me the opportunity to interact with a diverse mix of teammates from throughout the entire country.

      Thank you for your review and feedback and thank you for your four years of contributions at Health Catalyst as a Data Engineer. I also miss coming into the office, but am excited about the progress we're making on the new office, and thankful to hear of the positive news regarding vaccine development and distribution which will likely enable us to safely reopen the offices some time in 2021 -- we'll see exactly when, but whenever that comes, it will be a happy day, at multiple levels. Better days are ahead, and I'm thankful to look forward to those better days with dedicated colleagues and teammates like yourself. Best, Dan
