      Pros

      I liked the people I worked with at the staff and peer level. The benefits were good; pay was average to slightly above average

      Cons

      Constant leadership reorganization, going back at least a decade and continuing. Growing faster than infrastructure and talent can support. Unable to feel proud about the health care delivery system. Quality employees are overworked, not to keep up or make progress, but just to keep from failing.

      Pros

      Health insurance is great, some employees get an employer match 401K. Salary good. Nice environment. Easy access to parking.

      Cons

      Raises are not given often. Annual reviews determine raises, not based on skill or knowledge. Some of the management are unfriendly. Upper management does not engage with employees.

      Behind the times

      Pros

      The older folks working there and volunteers were sweet, close-knit. Heart Center is a great facility and the patients I was around were usually very satisfied with care.

      Cons

      Main hospital building was not in good shape, constant construction, some very rude physicians that got into some huge debacles with patients. It's a mess sometimes, communication isn't the best, and some seriously out of date equipment.
