Pros
AMAZING benefits, everyone I work with are wonderful. It’s a great company to get experience if you’re a CNA going to school for Nursing. Relatively easy to move up in the company or transfer to another Health-First Hospital. When its busy season it's an easy way to get extra money because they push you to work overtime to have enough staff.
Cons
The pay is average, Working night shift is better because you get night differential. It all depends on your floor manager when thinking of cons, our Manager really has no backbone to be a manager we really do not have an established set of rules it's kind of like “let’s try this for a while and see if it works" then it just dies off. One big con is they do not work with your schedule they basically said we are not allowed to have a set schedule and we can’t choose days we want to work and days we need off. I am going to school but I can’t request the days off for school so it's really hard to balance work and personal life. Our policy says that hourly associates cannot have set schedules but our charge nurses who are hourly associates have had a set schedule since day one. Like I said they make up their own rules.
