Pros
Healthfirst is a good place to get a few years of working experience. Depending on the department and management, you can either have a good experience or a mediocre experience. Also, depending on the department, you have different levels of work-life balance. The compensation is not great, but it is better than the average. Healthfirst is a growing company which provides some job stability in a changing market. I would recommend trying to negotiate salary as much as possible. PTO is solid in this company. They changed it to give it all at once in the beginning of the year. That's awesome. I would recommend working at Healthfirst for at least one year and making your own decision.
Cons
I have mixed reviews about the company overall. I was in a bad department before. The management did not care to grow their employees. Rather, they wanted to use them until they were of no use anymore. My current department is very different. They value people who work hard and can contribute to the team. Also, it does not seem projects are managed well, especially in the IS department. There is a lot of finger pointing and projects not being managed properly. That's one of the major reasons I decided to switch.
