Great benefits (insurance, 401k, etc.), Relatively efficient/effective onboarding process (they know when new employees are starting and are prepared to have them start instead of scrambling on the first day), Training opportunities granted basically right away

Cons

Relatively long hours (usually 9-10 hour work days M-F)

So disorganized you never know what your job will be from one moment to the next. Management thinks you are super-human with all the work expected. Promotions are not based on merit they are based on who you are, who you know and where you are sitting at that moment.

Fast paced, lots of management decisions made on the fly that have significant impacts, Co-Workers understand that you don't have a lot of management experience and are more than willing to give guidance and are more than happy to get a phone call if you have a question. Lots of good people in the industry that are there to do a good job and be safe while doing it. My operation

Cons

Hours can be around 50hrs per week with some weeks exceeding that, can be overwelming for some individuals that done have a lot of field experience. Some limitations set by Union that can be somewhat frustating but this may not be the case for everyone.
