One of the worst employers I have experienced in my many years in IT
Pros
The clients that I serviced were fantastic, kind, helpful, and grateful. Working with the Sales Dept, Service Dept, and the awesome mechanics was such a treat. Working with "some" of the other techs at Helion was usually a nice and fun experience. I had a great time taking care of the clients!
Cons
My direct exposure and experience with Management was terrible towards the end, hypocrites at their finest. They require you to always work with high standards, but they don't reciprocate with those same standards, including the HR Dept. They allow some bad seed Techs to be rude and talk down to other techs without correcting them. From direct experience when working on Projects for them, there were avoidable fires and confusion all the time. Project Managers that I worked with directly shouldn't be called Project Managers, more like Drama Managers, who were to self-absorbed and closed minded to active onsite tech feedback during a project. You’d think doing the same type of projects time after time everyone would get better or to try and make the projects be successful in the future. During my time, nothing was offered to help advance IT knowledge, no free online training courses to take, nothing to help you grow and learn next level in IT. During my time there, no bonuses or commissions were offered to my level position, Field Engineer. Insulting low salary range, even though they expect you to be a superstar IT person. Based on my personal experience working there, it is NOT a company I would recommend to go to if you want to grow your IT knowledge or be happy, look anywhere else. You’ll see a pattern of the same type of negative reviews of this company, for those that took the time to comment here to help others.
