Pros

Working with the clients and co-workers. Staff are bonded and support each other because management doesn't!

Cons

Management team is not qualified to lead people. They have no skills or talent other than being friends with each other. They are ridiculous. CEO walks around making comments that are rude and acts like we should be excited about making $10.50 an hour, get no raises, and pay through the nose for benefits. Like I said Run, you can do better than Helping Hand.

Pros

Watching the growth and progress of the students and the relationship with most of the families was positive and encouraging.

Cons

The rate of turnover was ridiculous. Individual teaching assistants were never consistent and there was always a shortage of them. The trust between staff and some upper management was negative at times. I felt at any moment I could be "thrown under the bus". The directors of the school never spent quality amounts of time within the classroom to understand how they function. While working with the students was fulfilling, the job was emotionally and physically draining. There was not a good balance between work and home life.
