      Pros

      Nice people to work with and chances to transfer to different departments but that's it

      Cons

      Very low pay, insurance is not the greatest, people in supervisory positions that shouldn't be, don't care about your feelings...they just want a body in the position so your not a person

      Great place for new nurses

      Pros

      Good culture of caring. Nurses help each other out. Great transition hospital out of nursing school. Orientation is thorough. New nurses are welcomed and appreciated.

      Cons

      Mandatory on call once a month on most units. "Flexing" patient-nurse ratio is the norm. The unit isn't full until either one nurse is above the ratio by 1 patient or the charge nurse has 1 patient. Pay is eh. Ok for abilene.

      Pros

      Great working environment. The managers were great, the nursing staff was fun to work with, and many of the PAs and NPs were great to work with too

      Cons

      When I started working I had to start from the bottom. It felt like someone had to die before promotions became available.
