Pros

Met some forever friends working different areas.

Cons

Worked in multiple areas within this hospital. Leadership is terrible. HR is terrible. You bring problems to their attention and it is completely ignored. This place is full of politics and do what makes them look better while sacrificing their employees. Retaliation is real from the management, even though they will tell you it’s not tolerated; trust me, it is. Hendrick allows for bad management and leaders to act like tyrants and get away with it. Hendrick also likes to play favorites. People leave because of leadership, not because they hate their jobs. There’s no accountability for leadership. Hendrick bought 2 hospitals during the height of a pandemic but couldn’t give employees raises/hazard pay/bonuses and if they did give these out they picked and chose who to give bonuses to. They will start RN new grads at $33 an hour but yet those who have been working loyally for 15-20 years make that hourly currently or even less.

Pros

Having a job as a Nurse.

Cons

You have to do a lot of Surveys but nothing gets fixed or changes. Management is part of the problem, so are the Nurses. They put you with a preceptor that hates their job and they're really negative and it makes you want to quit shortly afterwards. Forget reporting anything to management, especially if you're new. Best thing to do is go to work and keep your mouth shut. There's a lot of diversity but no inclusion.

Pros

Hendrick is a hospital that serves surrounding the counties. Many patients who come to the Trauma Center do not see a Primary Care Physician. The Trauma Center "is" their Primary Physician. Some parts of the hospital are new and fresh and look nice.

Cons

Some older parts of the facility look worn, sad, run down, and depressing. Also, many visitors look lost and ask for directions. Improved signage could help them get to their destinations more easily. The cafeteria seating area is dirty and crowded. Many visitors and employees come to the cafeteria to enjoy a few minutes before getting back to work or caring for loved ones.
