Learning how to deal with people who are constantly stretched thin and aggravated with the status quo. Benefits are pretty OK.

Absolutely the worst place to work. Planning is very poor across the company and when failures occur from it, ye who points the finger first with the loudest voice is the winner. Objective logic and reason are void here; hearsay reigns supreme. The company hides under the guise of being a well put together company (as automotive companies would generally have to be to stay competitive in the industry) but systematic processes constantly fail and exceptions made. The company is slowly but steadily losing business. New business development is also poorly planned and executed -- launches fail and there is no promising future business in the pipeline. The mothership in Germany constantly blames the North American side for project failures and seems to have no interest in improving the facility, inter-company relations, or general health of the business. I will be surprised if this place is still operating in five years. Employees do not respect or trust one another because survival means constantly bullying and blaming one another. Teamwork among employees and management is virtually nonexistent, with interest only in maintaining or bettering oneself, one's own position and reputation, rather than the overall success of projects or the company. Half of the employees are selfish, ill-intentioned people who have been there forever, battle-hardened from the toxic work culture, and are very good at shifting blame to others. The other half of the employees are typically intelligent, bright-eyed, decent-willed human beings who receive the blame for failures of the company and ultimately leave in a short time due to the seemingly insurmountable and constant struggle they face. The place is a revolving door due to this. If you interview here, be sure to ask why they are hiring for the position. You'll probably be interviewing to replace somebody who was there for less than a year or two. If you do not heed this warning and decide to work here, be sure to have an exit plan in your back pocket.
