      Micromanagement of staff by leadership that is focused on itself.

      Pros

      You will not work as hard as you do in private practice. There is a pension plan, a good self-insurance professional liability program and there are reasonable allowances for CME activity.

      Cons

      You will be micromanaged and not allowed to advance your career. You will feel like you are constantly being watched and if you stand out in any way you will come under attack. Those who are good at what they do are seen as threats to incompetent leadership and they will be suppressed. Pay is poor in comparison to market rates, especially in surgical disciplines.

      Pros

      Henry Ford Health System has a system that works. They believe in the patient's comes first, and the employees performance of excellence is what makes the system work. Each employee is recognized for the diligence and efforts.

      Cons

      I searched my mind and can say that throughout my employment with Henry Ford Healt System there hasn't been anything that I would consider to be a domino effect.

      You and your work matter at Henry Ford. There is a job here for anyone and everyone who can get in the door.

      Cons

      Sometimes managers are control freaks and change up everything. Then coperate will defend their actions. Being a 24 /7 operation means there is a chance you might get the graveyard shift.
