Pros

Decent-ish payrate (in this economy) they start most everyone off at at least $15\hr work is not physically intensive at all if you treat this job like a landing place while you look for other jobs you actually want to do its pretty okay currently a mostly work from home company

Cons

It is a terrible work environment--even working from home--the company's motto should be "absolutely ZERO follow through!" Upper Management is a disorganized mess there is little to no communication between upper management and everyone else they like to have large widespread policy changes take effect very quickly (ie they email you about a new attendance policy only 1 day before the new policy goes into effect) the resource model makes it very difficult to get assistance in a timely fashion the customers are growing increasingly angry because the training program to prepare you to answer the phone is rushed and incomplete, so techs are answering calls before they are ready, causing customers to get frustrated with the lack of assistance. they also never discipline techs, so there are plenty of people out there just doing stuff wrong and being rude to coworkers with no consequences. Also, at least at the TX location, the HR rep is transphobic and there is at least 1 supervisor who has had a few sexual harassments claims reported to HR and nothings been done about that either so. again--0 follow through with anything. And if you are not working at the home base location in Utah, you are treated like a second class citizen. Also they refuse to take peoples lives into account. They used the pandemic as an excuse to cut everyone's 1 hour lunch down to 30 minutes and also widely changed everyone's schedules, closers were opening and vice versa, so if you have a specific schedule you need, you better have a really good reason or they wont care. (they might not care anyway)

Pros

I’d recommend anyone wanting to work in a relaxed but fun culture to apply for Henry Schein. It is a great company to work for and has great people to work with. • I had a warm welcome my first day at Henry Schein, the employees and management excited to see me and have me join the team. The staff had a welcome board set up with my name and other new hires name’s on it. This gave me comfort knowing that I was in the right place and that the team was expecting me. I have worked at other places where the management was scrambling to figure out what to do with me, this was not the case. • Once completing orientation, I was partnered with the trainer who immediately handed me a copy of my training schedule and emailed to me so that I would know what to expect coming in each day. I was included in everything to help me see and gain understanding of the environment and what was currently in action. The team knew I was still green, but no one made it awkward. Everyone was open to questions and there to support me whenever I needed assistance. • I spent the next two weeks training and shadowing in all the areas that I would expect to know for my position and even shown some in other areas that I don’t directly work with but alongside. This was beneficial for me so that I would have a great understanding of the business. • The culture is terrific! Everyone is very positive and happy with their jobs, this provides a more comfortable environment when people enjoy their jobs. This is not a place where management has an intimidation factor by just walking the floor. Any employee can have a conversation with any level of management, they are both welcome and enjoyed. I believe this promotes idea sharing which helps improve the business.

Cons

I have no discovered any negatives at this time.
