Pros

Salary received on time. Home office/remote option available. Flexible working hours. Exposure to the corporate working environment. Variety of tasks involved. No one day is the same. Basic digital training sessions with different teams and external stakeholders.

Cons

Mixed feedback without actual direction. Unrealistic expectations and no culture of empathy. No in-person or general interaction with the team except for work. Likely to be told to 'just do what you're hired for' if you express an interest in expanding professionally. No investment in personal or professional well-being. Everything has to be done on a shoestring budget. Unprofessional attitude when the employee leaves or tenure ends.

Pros

Working for Henry Schein over the past 8 years has been an absolute pleasure. In this time, I've been able to take advantage of multiple opportunities to progress my career. With each progression, I've been thoroughly supported by managers who have challenged and empowered me, allowing me to step into the role and make it my own. My growth over this time has been exponential and I truly believe I wouldn't be where I am without the support and belief of the team around me. Being a company with 400+ staff across the country, it wouldn't be hard to lose touch with staff and create a stagnant work place, however Henry Schein continues to invest in making the company more like a family, providing multiple opportunities for us to get together and build and maintain relationships. The investment in its people, allows us to work better together, providing our customers with an effective and memorable experience. Throughout the pandemic, Henry Schein took a vested interest in the health and wellbeing of their Team Schein Members. In the following years, they continue to allow flexible work arrangements and provide a continuous supply of beneficial resources to all employees and their friends and family to safeguard their physical and mental health.

Cons

Although there have been challenging moments in my career, I'd account these to my personal growth, rather than anything relating to Henry Schein specifically. No company is perfect, however I feel that Henry Schein is making moves and investing more and more in it's people and making a concerted effort to listen and improve where they can.
