      HP is a great company to work for, everyone treats you as a equal. Help is always there when you need it and everyone pulls together as a team and will do whatever it takes to complete the project. Everyone is treated with respect.

      At times the job can get stressful, but you just have to push through it. As is with any job.

      Pros

      Far and away, the benefits package that Hensel Phelps provides to its salaried employees is the best reason to work for the company. As an employee-owned S-corporation, Hensel Phelps is able to offer a generous, comprehensive benefits package that few companies in the construction industry can compete with. Another good reason to work for the company is the number of training opportunities that they offer, both internally and through outside sources. There is no reason that an employee of Hensel Phelps can not develop personally or professionally to whatever level of competency they desire.

      Cons

      Hensel Phelps has a very strong college recruiting and internship program that generates 90% of their new hires, and their programs are geared mainly towards growing and developing this sector of their employees. Industry hires, particularly older ones, can experience difficulties acclimating to this system and getting promoted.
