Pros

Free Car Free Gas Free Insurance Fun Job

Cons

The amount of work that is required of you varies drastically from location to location. I started working at a large airport and was moved to a smaller airport but I had less responsibility in my position at the large airport but about 5 times the responsibility at the smaller airport, that came with less pay. Hertz is also so focused on saving money it's difficult to do your job at times. There was a weekend we ran out of gas because corporate refused to approve a gas delivery because they wanted to wait for the next quarter to purchase gas. At the end of the year, the company refused to give the locations any money for a Christmas (or Holiday) Party so anything we did for the employees, we spent out of our own pocket. Pay for managers is a joke...but they justify that by letting you drive a car off the lot every night which can be nice but the pay leaves a lot to be desired... My biggest complaint is that I moved across the country twice for Hertz within a year, because they asked me to, and then they laid me off after working with the company for 11 months. Needless to say, job security isn't something guaranteed within the company, which is disappointing since the CEO is still getting paid millions of dollars a year... Also, while on the topic of the CEO, Mark Frissora is the most unprofessional, crude man to meet in person. How Hertz does even half as well as it does under his leadership is amazing to me. Though it can't be doing that well because Hertz is always laying employees off...

Pros

Fun sales environment (if your manager and staff allow it to be). Its a great job for those who like to do a lot of things everyday. you drive different cars everyday. You can get a Hertz car if of your own if you are a branch manager!

Cons

Its a job. It can get rough, and turn over has been random. People quit at an uncertain time. Some leaders are not supportive, nor do they listen to you. I do not like sales program- I once sold a huge contract worth $1000+ only to ruin my streak with a return that had no sale on it. SRPD system sucks.

Pros

Good discounts on used and new cars. Health benefits are ok.

Cons

Be prepared to be on call 24/7. Work/life balance is extremely poor. Senior management is disconnected from the rest of the company and will do anything to max out their bonuses. This includes cutting out employee perks and training. Unrealistic targets are set, which creates a lot of finger pointing and dog eat dog environment.
