      Why I stay with Hertz

      Pros

      Co-workers and the people that work in operations The belief that Hertz can once again be the industry leader. Pride in the company. Stability, benefits, new challenges are available to those willing to accept them.

      Cons

      Most of the issues are related to the current economy. Cut too deep in some operations. Need to find a way to give the front line the tools and resources they need. We do expect a lot from our employees but it is that higher expectation that made us great. We just need to balance that with the benefits and rewards.

      Pros

      Company stability and reputation continue to make it the best place to work. I have been with the company for over 25 years and have seen it grow so fast, especially over the past few years. Times are tough now and yes, there have been layoffs and cutbacks, but the company always survives and comes out stronger. There are also incredible promotional opportunities all over the world with this company, great benefits, 401K, tuition reimbursement, competitive salaries, and bonuses. What more could you ask for??

      Listen, there is no perfect place to work. There are sometimes jobs you do not agree with or want to do but you do it. You do your job, work hard and you will be rewarded. This would apply at a hamburger joint as well as any large, global company.

      Pros

      Great growth opportunity & cutting edge aggressiveness. Very entrepenurial environment. Have made smart purchases, Advantage rent a car as well as expansion into hourly rental, Connect by Hertz. Long but rewarding hours. CEO has a quarterly webcast-a plus.

      Cons

      Sometimes career opportunities require relocation - for a faster track; otherwise the worker has to like a fast paced environment with a ton of customer contact.
