It's a tight knit community in certain locations... especially in middle Georgia area where everyone is an invaluable resource even though they may not feel like it all the time. It's a small company environment with many responsibilities to share from trainer to software tester to data analyst and writer and illustrator and management. Team building and self-growth was a high priority at this place where they believed if they could promote your growth (not necessarily monetary) then you can promote the company's growth. That said, company growth comes from contract awards... and that growth makes the team improve.
