Pros

Yellow Book is a career "Rocket Ship". I have seen over 300 promotions over the last 2 years. They treat employees with respect and are open with them. I love the way the company focuses on its customers. The CEO is a focused leader with a strong history of winning. The benefits are top notch and there is plenty of individual growth.

Cons

Growth creates issues constriction of flexibility. There is a downside to being part of an international company. The parent company is in the UK and the stock is traded on the London Stock Exchange. I feel the the business in the US has more growth in its future than the UK investors see.

Pros

- The timings are great. You start work at 7:30 AM and leave the office at 4:30 PM. - Leaves are credited monthly along with the salary (it's 2.5 days of leaves per month). - The colleagues and our team lead (and the content manager) were cool people to work with (the upper management was the exact opposite). - The compensation is decent.

Cons

- The timings are not flexible. - Employees are treated as manufacturing machines here, not humans. The VP even repeats this point multiple times in all his dull speeches (which are nothing but grandstanding anyway). - Just 30 days of paid leaves every year (excluding national holidays). That's below industry standards. - While the compensation is decent, the benefits aren't. In fact, I still don't understand what the benefits are. - It takes them 8 months to confirm a new employee. Not cool. - Smart casual wear allowed only on Fridays. They don't trust their employees to make the right choice. - Not allowed to listen to music while working. Too many distractions in the office to concentrate on work and still be creative. - They have a team outing every month, but every employee is given only INR 500 (<$10) to spend. It's nothing but forced team bonding. - Impossible targets. Every employee is expected to write 12.6 pages of any given website(s) per day, or submit 1.8 sites (9 websites every week). Considering the wide range of businesses out there, and the variety of website templates which we use to write our content on, it's impossible to achieve the target without hampering our creativity. Some get lucky with their sites, but most don't. As a result, the overall morale of the team is always down. - There's no place to relax if you're feeling stressed out. - Not much room to grow in the company.
