Pros

Great base, benefits, good commission structure when selling web based products

Cons

When selling websites which can be hard enough as it is it's even more combersome to have to sit for hours to help them design it choose pictures, etc. then the proof never seems to please the customer so you have to go back and help then fix it. Overall it's hard to not only meet your quota but also have to take the time out of the day for cold calling to hold hands with the customer and help build the sites.

Thank you for your service to Hibu and for sharing this feedback. We agree that our compensation and benefits packages are a great perk to working here. While we understand your concerns, our selling roles offer unlimited potential as well as the ability to build your client base and income opportunity. Keep in mind that as with any new role, the first year is spent learning the ins and outs of your position, building relationships with your clients, etc. Best of luck to you in your role!

Pros

Good people. Fun activities (dunk tanks, free water ice, and company events).

Cons

Bad management. Promises of careers with no intention of delivering. Overworked and underpaid by industry standards. Turned talented, hard working and caring people in the field of SEM into nothing more than Google certified customer service reps. Raise structures are poor. Movement in the company is somehow always considered lateral when moving from department to department but the responsibility is anything but. No one cares about you. Micromanagement is abysmal. Lay offs- outsourcing. It's typical, by the book corporate America. Creativity is dead at this place. It's a stepping stone job, but usually when you try and jump from this stone to the next, the company has not provided you with enough skills to have a worthwhile resume, so you either end up fired because you were not prepared for the next step at a new company, or you end up with no phone calls and have to work at Hibu forever.

Pros

The employees are great to work with.

Cons

Upper management has clear favorites, making it extremely difficult to be promoted from an Associate Manager level. Some department managers lack essential workplace ethics. The quality of their product is consistently compromised due to their constant off-shoring of important product roles (i.e. - writing and design website content). The salary and bonus incentives are very low for corporate managers.
