      Company is trying to transition from Yellowbook to new products

      Pros

      I have done really well in the past. This was my first job out of college and I feel it has been a great experience and taught me a lot of the skills that are valuable in a sales career.

      Cons

      The Yellowbook is of course declining in the number of advertisers so the company is introducting new products, but not all of them can really compete with the competition.

      Pros

      As yellow page usage is going down, the company is trying many new products.

      Cons

      Management only cares about new client acquisition. They look for quantity over quality. The only way to make money with this company is to sell a huge number of new clients so you can get a bonus.

      Pros

      A company that doesn't have it's head in the sand. Is constantly working to introduce new and relevant products for clients. Working hard to get ahead of the curve in the transition from print to digital/internet

      Cons

      For salespeople, there is too much effort that must be devoted to "maintenance" and prepping issues that have to be addressed on a constant basis. This takes away from being able to focus more on problems solving for your clients. work/life balance not balanced. Job requires too much time to be done really well.
