Pros

I recently moved out of state after working at High Country for 5 years. It's the best company I have ever worked for. The leadership team does a great job of providing all of the tools and training they can to invest in their people. It is consistently one of Denver's Best Places to work because they hire the best people and promote a collaborative and friendly environment that allows you to focus on being productive. They do a lot of fun events as well, but ultimately the employees at High Country work there because they are supported, respected, and incentivized at the highest level.

Cons

It's not an easy job. So if you aren't committed to working hard and always improving, probably not the right fit.

Quality Focused Recruiting Firm w/ an Excellent Work Culture

Pros

Been with High Country 10 years. Excellent firm for high performers, but also a very good system for employees new to the business and wanting to learn. What's written in one of the reviews about the president is inaccurate. He does what he says, and says what he does. He's transparent, ethical, and generous. The flexibility part is true. It's about getting your job done vs. hours worked at the office.

Cons

Not a great firm for those who aren't self motivated and driven, but I don't think any performance focused company would be.

Pros

I worked at High Country for 8 months and only left because I received an offer back in my home state that I couldn't turn down. The people in my opinion are the difference, I can honestly say they care about the people they work with and are truly trying to help. I think it's a unique opportunity if you are a recruiter, they invest in their people but also believe in a work/life balance. My manager and the owner were more than fair and lead by example, there is a reason they have won numerous awards over the years.

Cons

With unemployment in Denver at all time lows it was a tough environment, we mostly did Direct Source recruiting so I felt like we did a better job than other firms.
