      HPU is strongly supported by wealthy donors and has expanded its degree offerings at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

      Cons

      There is volatility that is expected at a privately funded liberal arts institution that is absent at larger, public schools. Programs are initially supported and then are left behind to focus on the latest and greatest ideas. There also seems to be lack of transparency with granting tenure and promotions.
