Pros

You get a really nice gift at the beginning of every school year. Really sold base salary for someone right out of grad school. The First Year Writing Program is headed by some awesome people You care about education.

Cons

Expected to drink the corporate kool-aid. Use instructors and other non-tenure track folks until they burn out. The reputation of the school matters more than its academic rigor. Conservative student population that expect to be catered to and are afraid of being challenge.

relaxed and great learning opportunity, decent pay for part-time students. Bosses can be very lenient with scheduling.

Cons

No benefits as it is a part-time job and it can be stressful at times especially when there is a certain deadline approaching.
