Pros
If there were Pros i wouldn't be writing this. However, they sure know how to ruin a an already existing, strong, good company!
Cons
The apparrent lack of senior leadership involvement and engagement with it operations divisions is concerning. The refusal to listen to operating areas to better improvemebts for efficiency quality is rampant. They boast the almighty dollar and bottom line over the well being of there employees. A 25 billion dollar company, which we are reminded of every quarter is as cheap ad they get all the way down to their members insurance card. A total disconnect from the communities they do business in for the companies they take over, oh wait, i mean affilliate with. The so called HR department is a nightmare and lack a physicsl presence in the regions Highmark does business in. The recruiting department, well everything they touch is a nightmare along with their ever lacking onboarding process and orientation for new hires. When employees call about there medical insurance benefits you reach Mike in India, seriously, really?! The healthplan technology is super out dated , i think they use a system that started in 1992, I just started highschool then and i am now 45. If you love to jump through hoops and complete 20 steps more than you need for a process, this place is perfect for you.
