Far too demanding. Project Management heavy, technical resources are overworked. Minimal direction for on boarding. Contractor heavy that are paid more than employees.

Pros

Highmark is cutting edge in business processes and technologies. Benefits are good and pay is competitive. It's fast paced, which is good. You're never bored. Management seems committed to building skilled and successful teams.

Cons

The fast pace isn't for everyone. Not necessarily a con, but need to understand that it's a dynamic place and there's a lot going on. Work-life can suffer a bit at times, but the organizaiton looks for ways to improve it

the salary rate is good and the retirement benefits are also good. They have a 401K match plan. Vacation time is also good.

Cons

They utilize the mandatory bell curve where 10% of the staff must receive a does not meet expectations rating whether the employee deserves it or not.
