Pros

1. Working from home especially during 2. Health articles, nutritional advise, health coaches, walks, multiple languages for customer service, large clean fitness center with state of art equipment (if you have time). 3. Major changes in IT upper management was a drastic improvement. So glad Matt is gone.

Cons

1. It's who you know, not what you know, unless you're needed desperately. 2. Prior management under Matt had an inept attitude to layoff people in the US and physically move the contracting workforce over to India. WHY?! 3. Highmark ran educational conferences in the past promoting healthy lifestyles. As far as I can tell, these annual conferences went away. People outside of Highmark paid for attending them.

I worked at Highmark for 17 years with a generous salary and benefits. The first 14 years Highmark was a great place to work,

Cons

In the last 3 to 4 years management became extremely demanding, Stressful place to work trying to meet tight deadlines. Prepare to work evenings and weekends without any compensation,

Pros

The pay is great. It's why I stayed longer than I should have.

Cons

You have no home life. They will continue throw more work on you without extending deadlines and while laying people off. We were told to "get it done". Working 7 days a week is not a life. Any training to advance your career was scrapped.
