Pros

They sometimes get good projects.

Cons

They often offer below market compensation. They promise a standard bonus based on number of hours, but only give it to you if you ask. Their communication skills are non-existent. They have no follow through. They often promise one thing and then often do another. They do not respond at all to employee complaints. Worst of all, they just lie and lie and lie. Stay away.

Pros

The jobs are usually fairly flexible as far as hours and nearly every firm I've worked with has decent and honest people supervising.

Cons

The work and experience you gain is pretty useless except for another temporary/contract job. There is also little chance at being picked-up by a firm full-time as they either do not value the work you are doing as being valuable legal work or because of the contract that they have with the agency requiring a considerable buyout fee.
