      Pros

      Hitachi has a distributed global team working together to make great products. Remote work has been a great way for me to balance my work and family life, as I'm a new parent. The work process is mature and documentation provided is very much detail oriented. Performance bonuses are tied to the profit of the company rather than an individual's work performance. My team manager is very supportive and always considers my long-term growth plans.

      Cons

      Management rewards the sales teams more often than the product development/support teams. Fewer opportunities for upward mobility (but that could be because more people stay in the company longer).
