Pros

13 dollars an hour and yearly rising salary Sundays off

Cons

Managers are rude lazy and hypocrites. The worst people i have ever met. They sit in the office and eat pizza and then tell us to rudely pick up the pace. They will make us work over 12 hours a day with only a thirty minute lunch. They constanly tell us how awful we are working when in reality working for customers allows us no time to get things done. They don't care about our health or our personal problems. They will make us work all day for long ours with no breaks to get things done. Mangers and and all other upper managers are only out to make a name for themselves. I once stayed at work until 11:30 pm putting things on the top caps in color order. They have a long list of ridiculous rules that no one cares about. ( for example i work in the fabric department and all fabric must be pinned on the same side facing one direction, and all yarn lables must be forward just to name a couple.) Hours during the season are horrendous. I worked over 50 to 60 hours a week and most days were 12 hours days with only one lunch. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEMSELVES AND THE WORK THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, AND THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEIR HIGH POSITIONS TO GET IT DONE. You litterally have to be on your deathbed to even call in sick and if you aren't a favorite of the manager forget about it. A fellow employee had to call the corporate office when she was sick because the manager said she needed to be there even though she was sick and this was during off season. Its so awful how the managers of this Christian store are so opposite. They intentionally use their position to make people feel bad and they do the opposite of whta u ask. People who want more hours have their hours cut and poeple whi don't need it are worked like horses. They also make older people do more work to try to make them quit. Its just so awful. They are the worst most evil people you could ever work for.

Pros

Good operating hours, always off on Sunday, a Christian atmosphere, clean, time goes by quickly (always something to do), friendly co-workers, and finding satisfaction in helping customers and designing custom orders.

Cons

Never scheduled enough work hours to qualify for benefits, on your feet (except for breaks), only 30 minute lunch break (really no chance of eating out), and unloading and stocking shipments can feel quite overwhelming at times.

Pros

2 days off, no matter what. CHANCE, and I emphasize that, at having good managers. For me, I had great ones. In other cases I have heard the opposite. If you do good they will praise you, for at least a couple of months

Cons

Unrealistic standards from district management. Personal character attacks on employes is not uncommon from district/regional management, despite being a "Christian company"... If you end up being a department lead, prepare to be personally insulted, despite your commitment to the company
