Pros

Pay was in line with other management jobs as were benefits. Hard work is rewarded with bonuses as is appropriate.

Cons

Not enough management staff to cover any illnesses let alone vacation time. Not allowed to compensate hourly store employees as needed for performance if an employee was doing a great job. No barcode scan system in place for merchandise checkout.

Pros

Friendly co-workers and customers. The store is pretty cool if you are into arts and crafts. Most staff tries to make you feel welcomed.

Cons

I was not trained on what merchandise went with which department. Since there are no barcodes, cashiers have to just know what department each item is from to key it in to the register. Seemed like it would be obvious, but when there was absolutely no training involved, I spend a lot of time having to bother other cashiers for information.

Pros

Great place to work enjoyed the hands on management style that Hobbly Lobby uses. Should have never left. Give it a try.

Cons

None that I can think of. I mean it is retail so the hours are long nut the pay is worth it.
