Mostly franchised venues, so do your research!

Pros

Being part of a global company Colleagues in sister venues are friendly, and helpful Personal development opportunities available, from completing online trainings, and attending Webinar sessions

Cons

Many venues are franchises, so do your research on the company that owns the venue first. Check customer reviews on TripAdvisor, speak with your connections in the industry etc. Resistence from customers who have a negative perception of the Holiday Inn brand When asking for help or advice from Head Office, I was often referred to the online training tool. This is useful if you have the time to search for the required training course, and time to complete it, but not so useful if you need a quick answer to your query Lack of training on products, and promotions, so it can be challenging to keep up-to-date with, and to sell, the latest offers

Pros

Meeting new people, good company

Cons

Long hours, double shifts, staff missing but a very nice experience in general. Opportunity to grow in the company. Meals included, staff discount, opportunity to learn many tasks
