Willing to train you, willing to give you additional responsibilities once you have demonstrated the ability, personally involved managers, good mentoring.

Cons

None other than hotel closing to be replaced with 4 new hotels on the property

Pros

The guests can sometimes be very nice and interesting people.

Cons

-The management of this place is always changing over as no one wants to work for the overbearing owner of this Holiday Inn. - The owner lets his family stay in the hotel for extended periods of time. The only reason he left is because he had a gambling problem and knew he was in trouble when guests reported a shooting in one of the rooms. - No interest from management in any career paths or development for the employees. - The list just goes on and on and on.....

I was generally trusted and respected to do my job with out micro-management.

Cons

No foresight to flex to high volume times. Was not able to retain staff for more than a few months.
