Pros
Cynosure is part of Hologic and therefore employees are offered a very solid benefits program. You can make decent money, but potentially at a high cost to your values and moral standards. Some good products
Cons
Where to start? There is lip service from the executive leadership team that Cynosure has evolved from the previous Cyno 1.0 appauling and dishonorable culture. But in reality it is still very much alive and well. Sales teams are taught a very aggressive, scripted model of selling and there is no variation. This leaves very little room to cultivate long-lasting relationships with customers. It is a true game of quantity vs quality. It is a push culture with very little mentoring. Egregious behaviour is ignored if the person responsible is a sales 'producer.' There is insane turnover company wide with very few exceptions. Well over 50% have volunantarily quit or have been pushed out. This creates a very unstable team environment and the constant need to regroup and rebuild teams. It is not a sustainable business model and it is shocking that the executive leadership team seem to point fingers, deflect or ignore rather than consider what could be done better to retain talent.

Pros
In my division, I am supported and feel like a valuable part of the team. I have the tools I need to get my work done. My manager is great, and encourages my growth and maximizing my skills. Though here under a year, I see there is growth potential for me, and feel confident I am on a solid career path. The building is great - updated with good amenities, plenty of shared space if you need some privacy, it's kept clean and stocked up. Really appreciate having a pleasant place to work. Again, in my division, working remotely is not an issue when needed, and is a huge benefit in my opinion. Not all departments have the same policy on this however. Salary and benefits are solid, slightly better than other companies. I've worked at enough larger companies to appreciate that not everyone's experience is the same, even at a company that appears to have a positive culture and environment. I do feel that Hologic is solid however, based on my experience, and of many people I interact with across other divisions.
Cons
Cons at Hologic are similar to other large global companies. Sometimes there is process that slows progress down, having to wait for a solution to be built and implemented can take longer than hoped, etc. However, change is not discouraged, as can be the case at other companies, and persistence usually pays off.
