Where do I begin with the cons. Home genius truly seemed like a great company to begin with. They sucker you in with the “new start up company” spiel and how they’re on pace to hit a billion dollars in the next 5 years. I ended up taking the offer and was told I was unable to give a 2 weeks notice for my current job because one of the company directors was going on vacation and they didn’t know when the next training date was. Biggest red flag from the beginning. I proceeded with the position that seemed to be all over the place. A lot of different people moving all over the place. I was given 3.5 weeks of training and then was released by the company around that time due to them having to cut back because of “budget” while I was still in my training period. Weird how they are on pace for “ a billion dollars” It was insanely upsetting especially because I was coming from a very good job already. I was just looking for a new opportunity to grow and move forward. Home genius did put me in a tough financial position, so my words of advice to people applying here is be careful. They will get rid of you very fast and they won’t care. Most positions here are sales positions so if they’re doing this on the talent acquisition side I could only imagine what the sales side is like.
One last thing your expected hours are around 8:30am- 6:30pm so don’t let them fool you when they say 9-5 in the beginning
