Pros

Everyone likes each other and work together very well, not hard work

Cons

Managers do not communicate, the "big guys" do not see you as anything important, people do not stay very long.

Pros

Fun co-workers, a lot of opportunities to get some more hours

Cons

Exhausting. They also make you do more then what you were originally hired for. Management is also very demanding and will make you work over time (over an hour) to finish your task.

Pros

You work with people who all seem to understand the game of retail. People are willing to help each other out. The days fly by (during the day shift) which is great, and you are never really wanting for any kind of activity unless of course you are at the check-stands.

Cons

Oh boy, allocation. Our store gets so much stuff we don't need and we have no backroom so everything needs to find a way onto the floor. One day you will spend four hours on a project to make everything fit and the next day you will have to find more room for different items that you just took the day before. Like all retail places, you are asked to do the work of 10 people with 5 people and half your time used up in assisting customers. Times when you are not being overloaded with stuff you don't have any and that makes customers upset. They keep wondering if we're going out of business. You have to meet certain speed indicators while pushing merchandise to tanks, and those tanks to the floor, and while building furniture, but the numbers are complete garbage. If we get the truck done in time, we're good. Measuring how fast we were going is pointless.
