Pros

-Gave customer service/retail experience. -Got to see the occasional neat item before it was on the floor. -Most of the shift went by fast due to high volume of customers.

Cons

-Unorganized break scheduling and often times ended up short handed at the worst times. -Store/shelves constantly packed with too much inventory and it got messy very fast. -Some managers seemed to show favoritism. e.g.-chatting in back-room with certain employees while on the clock, while telling others to "stop standing around." -A lack of communication between managers caused confusion quite often which resulted in re-doing a task, or un-doing a task. - Keeping in the frame of mind that women can't/shouldn't do tasks that require lifting and should stay behind the registers and/or put merchandise away, and were scolded when doing heavy lifting by managers. Although often times male employees weren't scheduled at all or there were so few that there was no choice but to either make the customer wait or do it ourselves. -Really comes down on employees to push their TJX rewards card, like most retail stores that offer credit cards.

Pros

close to home, not spending paltry salary on gas.

Cons

big brother type atmosphere, low pay, bad management, bad hours, poor attitude with workers ( I came in with a positive attitude, but was slowly and agonizingly brought down by associates who hated, hated, their jobs (and I too, came to hate mine) ). customers were rude, dirty, and expected merchandise to be discounted all the time. no constructive reviews, or any reviews at all.
